Today’s speaker is…

Single person dressed in all black, a tech person, walks to center stage and sets up a standing microphone and walks back off stage. An audience of students sits facing the microphone looking interested and intrigued.

Enter one student, welled dressed ready to introduce.

Introducer: Today’s speaker is a very important person, their accomplishments are great, and we hope you enjoying hearing this amazing presentation. So, please show a warm welcome to today’s speaker.

Audience applauds as the student walk off stage leaving the single microphone standing on the stage. After a long awkward pause (lasting most of the two minutes, leaving only just enough time for the last lines at the end), the students begin to applaud again and the introducer walks back on stage.

Introducer: How about another round of applause for that amazing speech on important things.

Pause

Go to class.
