The Test

Characters:

· Main character (doing all actions)- Julie

· Onlookers: 4 or 5 other students

· Teacher

-Julie sits at a desk taking a test, and at first she seems completely calm.

-She gradually begins tapping her pencil and getting a tad nervous and impatient.

-She puts her pencil down and looks up, trying to think.

-She starts writing, then angrily erases, shaking her head.

-Julie starts getting extremely frustrated and tapping her pencil violently against her desk, and her face starts to look angry.

-Teacher: (Looks up from his/her desk) Is everything ok Julie?

-Julie: Yeah, yeah…. Totalllyyyyyyy fine. (Sarcastic, frustrated- looking down as she speaks).

-All of the sudden, Julie grabs her thick math book and starts banging it against the table. All the students peer up from their tests and look over at her, and then at each other, wondering what the heck is wrong with her.

-Julie then gets up from her seat and starts banging the book against the desk and screaming in frustration.

-She then takes her test, tears it to pieces, and throws the pieces at her teacher’s desk.

-After taking a deep breath, as the entire room stares at her, she calmly exits the scene.
