Lucy and Adam are playing Monopoly. Both players have played very well, but the game has been going on for a long time and is turning into a stalemate. Lucy is currently on Free Parking while Adam is on the Short Line Railroad, which he owns. No one currently owns a whole “set” of properties (eg. Park Place and Boardwalk) and there is no way anyone will win unless a trade is made.
Lucy: We've been at this for hours. Can't we take a break?
Adam: Isn't it fun though? I have a feeling this roll is going to be good.
Lucy: I have an idea. Before you go, let's make a deal. How about I trade my two red properties for your two yellow properties?
Adam: No.
Lucy: How about I throw in $100?
Adam: No.
Lucy: In a snooty pre-madonna voice. Then I'm gonna quit!
Adam: Not thinking she is serious. Fine then, quit.
Lucy gets up, stomps her foot, and then leaves, leaving Adam to clean up and put away the game.
Adam is angry and is putting the game away when Lucy returns playing a Game Boy.
Lucy: C'mon! Six! If this computer rolls a six, I win!
Adam: Annoyed and still a little angry. What are you doing?
Lucy: I am about to win a game of monopoly because these computers will actually accept trades. I was in the same position as in our game and I offered up the same trade. The computers accepted it. And now, if this computer rolls a six, he goes bankrupt and I win.
Adam: That must be a dumb computer. He Snickers. I could probably win with my eyes closed.
Lucy: Well why don't you try? I just won pretty easily. Good luck (Sarcastically).
30 Minutes Later
Adam: Clearly Angry. I HATE this game! He gives the Game Boy back to Lucy. I can't believe I just lost to a stupid computer!
Lucy: Clearly I'm a better player than you.
Adam: Not a chance! We are playing a real game of monopoly right now and I am going to show you! I'm gonna win!
Lucy: Bring it on! You're going down!
They set up the game and the scene ends.
