Play Two

[Scene starts with girl onstage frozen in a pose. Boy walks onstage.]

Boy: Carol? What are you doing?

[Boy looks around confused then stands next to Girl, takes a pose, and freezes. Another girl comes on stage and observes the boy and girl. She looks around timidly, then leans forward and whispers]

Girl2: Carol? Mark? What’s going on?

[Girl2 looks around again, then takes position next to the boy, takes a pose, and freezes. Another boy walks onstage and stops quickly out of shock. He walks slowly toward the group and waves his hand in front of their faces.]

Boy2: Hello? Guys? Are you going to answer me?

[Boy2 shakes his head then walks offstage. Girl2 turns her head to where Boy 2 went, then stands up straight and follows him. Boy1 stands up straight, stretches as if waking up, and walks off in the other direction. Scene ends with Girl1 smiling in her pose.]
