An ethnic, edible gathering

A French fry, a hamburger, a taco, a fortune cookie, a piece of pizza, a piece of sushi, a gyro, and a potato enter a room. Because they are foreign to one another, there is a very awkward tension amongst the group. Minutes pass. Hours pass. Days pass. The individuals continue to remain in silence, while the thought of “spoiling” is consciously floating in the back of their minds. When just about all hope of conversation seems to be lost, the taco takes initiative. He slowly glides over to the French fry and says hello. This sparks a chain reaction and soon enough the entire group is exchanging “hello’s.”

The taco: “Hola! Como esta Usted?”

The French fry: “Bonjour! Comment allez-vous?”

The hamburger: “Hello! How are you doing?”

The fortune cookie: “Ni hao ma?”

The pizza: “Buongiorno! Come sta lei?”

The sushi: “Konnichi wa! Ogenki desuka?”

The gyro: “Yassou! Ti kanete?”

The potato: “Haileo!
